Ken Thomas, Sales Executive

Ken Thomas

Ken started his career in the grocery industry at a very young age, beginning at Publix while attending college. From there, Ken joined Certified Grocers in 1974 working as a draftsman in the Store Engineering Department designing supermarkets and convenience stores. Ken was later promoted to equipment sales and soon became the Director of Store Development where he remained with Certified Grocers for more than 23 years, until the company was sold to Eli Witt. Eli Witt retained Ken as the Director of Store Development after the acquisition where he continued his career in store design and equipment sales. Ken joined the Associated Grocers team in 1996 as the Director of Store Development where he served AG Florida members for 11 years.

In 2007 Ken took his career in a new direction when he was offered a position with a major refrigeration manufacturer as the Southeast US Sales Manager. This career change gave Ken a good deal of new insight from the equipment manufacturers prospective. However, Ken’s roots are in Florida and when he was offered a position with 5 Star Refrigeration he eagerly joined this winning team.
